Simple and good food seems to be the favorites. It’s all about good food. Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but in today’s fast-paced society, who has the time? Well don’t worry about that here, because breakfast is at your choosing, 7:30am to 9:00am at shared tables in the dining room. You tell us when you want to eat! We take breakfast very seriously here at Honeybee Inn, and guarantee no one goes away hungry! If you are unable to attend breakfast during the time frame or would prefer not to sit at shared tables we offer a generous continental assortment breakfast “BAG” for your convenience. 🐝
Ingredients
In medium bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar. Mix well. Add buttermilk, oil, beaten egg, and vanilla. Mix well and let batter sit for 30 minutes.
Preheat waffle iron. Fill and cook according to manufacturer’s instructions, until crisp and golden. Yield: 3 large waffles. The best waffle you will ever eat!
Ingredients (for 5 – 6 individual tart quiches)
Roll out pie crust. Press into the pans. Prick bottom of dough with fork. Now bake empty shells at 400 degrees F for about 9 minutes. Saute sliced onions in butter until caramelized. They will take 20-25 minutes.
Chop ham into small pieces. Grate cheese. Make egg mixture Add cheese to bottom of each pastry. Add some ham. Add some caramelized onions. Now ladle egg mixture over each tart. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for about 20-25 minutes.
Ingredients Yield: Serves 6
1. In medium bowl, cream together cream cheese, vanilla, lemon juice and brown sugar until mixture is light and creamy.
2. Spread mixture evenly among each slice of bread. Layer strawberry slices on top of the cream
cheese mixture on half of the bread slices. Top with
remaining pieces of bread that have been spread with cream cheese mixture. Should have 6-7 french toast sandwiches.
3. In shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Preheat nonstick skillet over medium heat. Lightly butter skillet if needed.
4. Carefully dip each stuffed French toast in egg mixture and place on hot skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side. Serve warm with a dusting of
powdered sugar.
